About Me

My skill lies in understanding what is at the core of communication, offering observations with respect and kindness, sharing my knowledge about why particular dynamics might be playing out and then offering practical suggestions as to what intervention would be useful.

I’ve been a certified counsellor since 1992, delivering over 5,000 sessions, latterly during 20 years at RELATE as a Relationship & Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor. I believe in the fundamentals of Good Practice, which respects and adheres to the ethical guidelines as stated by the BACP and UKCP organisations.

I work with all combinations of relationships: siblings, parents, couples together, divorced or separating, individuals etc. I welcome anyone invested in improving their communication with each other.

You may be heterosexual, LGBTQ2S+, young, mature, of any ethnicity and culture, navigating any life stage or problem. I've seen many different presenting issues, working with people from their teens to their 80s.

I have extensive experience working where depression and long term illness have impacted relationships, and I have an interest and respect for high functioning autism/Aspergers within relationships.

I've been fortunate to have been tutored by some of the best tutors and researchers in the field of relationships and I would love to share my knowledge and experience with you.
